Prior to joining TNT Nutrition, I was a Weight Watcher. I was a little hesitant to leave Weight Watchers because I had a lot of success on the plan. On Weight Watchers, I could eat whatever. As long as I followed my 29 (and now only 26) points, I was promised weight loss. Eventually though, I became addicted to the scale. I was hungry all the time, even with my additional exercise and weekly points allowance. Additionally, if I ever went off the plan or didn’t follow it as stringently as I should, I gained the weight back. My TNT Fitness trainer said she was working with Shelby and said that she was down 2% body fat, from where I’m not sure, but it peaked my curiosity. I love and trust my trainer completely, and if she said the sky was purple, I’d believe her. So if she said it would work, I wanted to try it.
When starting my new plan with Shelby and TNT Nutrition, I looked at the plan and thought, there’s no way I’m going to lose weight! It was so much food. I took a look at the plan and added out the food on the Points Allowance. It equated to 36 points. That would be the amount of points I would eat if I wanted to maintain with Weight Watchers, but I didn’t want to maintain, I wanted to lose/tone! Despite my initial resistance, over the past 12 weeks, I have learned very important nutrition information including: the 20% rule regarding carbs, always eat a carb with a protein, the importance of small meals throughout the day, drinking the proper amount of water, meal planning, etc. Weight Watchers helped me with portioning and general nutrition knowledge, but Shelby and TNT Nutrition took me to the next level.
When I started TNT Nutrition my waist measured at a 35.5. After 12 weeks, I measure at 29.5. I went from a size 6, previously the smallest I had ever been to a size 4. In my wildest dreams I never thought I would be a size 6 and now I’m a size 4. I’ve lost five pounds. My body has changed into a tighter, toned body; a tighter, toned body I’ve been after my whole life, and I did it all by eating more than I ever have before. If I go “off” the plan, I’m still on the plan. My metabolism is completely changed. Every diet claims to be a lifestyle, particularly Weight Watchers and it works, but since I’ve figured out I can eat and still lose weight, I choose to eat! I look forward to continuing on with Shelby and TNT Nutrition in the graduate phase of my plan. I feel more positive about weight loss then I ever have before in my life. It’s not a punishment anymore. I’ve finally figured out the recipe for a healthy lifestyle and fitness success: TNT!
